Your Dental Health Is Important, and Our Patients’ Safety Is Our Top Priority

COVID-19 Protocol | Breeze Dental

A Message from Dr. Kouros Hedayati

We want to assure you of the measures we take to maintain a clean and safe environment so you can continue to receive needed dental care without fear or concern. Infection control has always been a top priority for our practice and you may have seen this during your visits to our office. Our infection control processes are made so that when you receive care, it’s both safe and comfortable. We want to tell you about the infection control procedures we follow in our practice to keep patients and staff safe.

Our office follows infection control recommendations made by the American Dental Association (ADA), the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA). We follow the activities of these agencies so that we are up-to-date on any new rulings or guidance that may be issued. We do this to make sure that our infection control procedures are current and adhere to each agencies’ recommendations.

You can visit our practice with confidence, knowing we are taking additional measures to provide for the safety of our patients and our team:

  • Preemptive patient screening: appointment rescheduling for any patient experiencing symptoms of an illness; in-office patient screening for symptoms prior to receiving treatment.
  • Elevated infection control standards include the thorough sterilization and disinfection of treatment rooms and instruments between each patient.
  • Continued adherence to standard sterile healthcare environment protocols including hand hygiene, use of personal protective equipment (e.g. gloves, masks, eyewear), respiratory hygiene/cough etiquette, sharps safety, safe injection practices (when applicable), sterile instruments and devices, and clean and disinfected environmental surfaces and common areas.
  • Installation of hand sanitizing stations in waiting areas and frequent cleaning of high-touch common areas.
  • Use of high-speed suction devices inside and outside of the mouth to reduce/minimize airborne aerosols
  • Use of HEPA filtration systems in the treatment rooms to eliminate viral particles
  • Isolating routine cleanings appointments in the farthest treatment room from the emergency/elective procedures rooms to insure proper social distancing protocols
  • You may see that our waiting room will no longer offer magazines, children’s toys, and so forth since those items are difficult to clean and disinfect.
  • Appointments will be managed to allow for social distancing between patients. That might mean that you’re offered fewer options for scheduling your appointment.

We value your trust in us.

We understand your decision to visit us is personal and many factors are involved. Please know that we remain committed to the importance of your dental healthcare, comfort, and safety. We will continue to monitor the coronavirus (COVID-19) updates and will communicate further based on the expert advice of government departments, public health authorities, and infectious disease specialists.

We promise to keep you updated through this dynamic situation, and we look forward to making you smile!
